This is the newly released single by Southampton duo 'KINKi' titled 'Suffering Tastes So Sweet'. KINKi consist of Steve Erida and Neve Nyxx and their music covers electronic dance music with a Gothic and Punk flavour. A new album is in production and due for release at the end of the year. Buzzard Records UK is pleased to be the label releasing this new and exciting new song from KINKi.

Sound Investment Studio was created in 2003 by Peter Legg at his home in Rockbourne, Hampshire in the UK - originally for the purpose of recording his work but later to provide a means for local singers and musicians to record their own songs and albums in a friendly & relaxed environment at a very reasonable cost.
Now, after eleven years of top quality music production it has been redesigned, updated and relocated to this new building. Peter has a long musical history playing in bands like '3PM', 'Nightshift', 'Brian Moon and the Satellites', 'The Satellites', 'Just Us' and is now enjoying working with other local musicians and composers. Current collaborators being: Joe Thorne, Tim Gulliver, Geoff Sims, Becky (Bex) Sims, Ted Draper, Steve Thorne, Colin Mitchener, Jimmy Trigwell and Terry Goulding.
Most singers and musicians come to Sound Investment to record their first albums and find Peter's approachable and friendly manner a great help. Full In-House Production
In-house production includes all recording/engineering on analogue/digital 24bit process - with a seperate sound booth, mastering and full CD production, including all artwork design & high quality printing. The studio can also transfer music from tape & vinyl to CD.
Peter has also recently started producing music videos which have been posted on YouTube. Album tracks can be listened to on the Artist Pages as well as on the soundcloud website. Just click the soundcloud logo under the end of the track. |
Past Projects
Peter has worked with local musician and composer Frogg Moody and sound engineered Frogg's original musical theatre productions,'Your's Truly, Jack the Ripper' and 'Daughter of Destiny - TheTrue Titanic Love Story'. He also recorded the sound track to a film based on the Jack the Ripper show titled 'Jack - The Final Victim'.

Current Projects
New songs and albums are being constructed all the time through continued collaboration with singers and musicians. Currently nearing completion are albums by Joe Thorne and Ted Draper. There is also a new studio album under way with tribute songs and new material from Joe and the regular studio users. New projects so far:- (See Blog).

Aims and Ambitions
The new studio is in larger self-contained premises in Peter's rear garden set in the rural picturesque village of Rockbourne. As well as the regular recording of artists albums one aim is to provide custom made backing tracks of original and popular songs which may be suitable for Television productions and singers.
Adjacent to the new studio is a custom built workshop where Peter works on customers guitars and builds new electric guitars under the 'Raptor' name. Also contained in the studio is a gallery of quality original photographs taken by Peter and Terry Goulding, who trade under the name of PT Designs. The range includes Framed & Mounted Prints, Calendars, Drinks Coasters, Fridge Magnets, Key Ring Fobs and Greetings Cards all of which are for sale. Click on the 'PT Designs' button to access the numerous items for sale which contain photographic images or artwork by Pete & Terry. Prices are in GBP and include P&P. A select number of free high quality backing tracks, created by Joe, are available for download, either from this site or from SoundCloud under Buzzard Records UK. You can find them here on the drop down list under 'Artists/Songs'. All are recorded as 320kbps MP3 files.
Another new feature is the Photo Gallery also found on the drop down list under 'Artists/Songs' and will feature many photographs of Musicians/Singers connected to the studio and Buzzard Records UK - plus others. Also, look out for the exclusive gallery of photos taken of the legendary band the 'Strawbs' when they played at the Brook in Southampton a few years ago. I took these photos as my daughter-in-law's uncle is John Hawken who played keyboards for the Strawbs (he also played with the Nashville Teens on Tobacco Road, Renaissance who had a No.1 hit with Northern lights, and Spooky Tooth). If you have any photographs suitable for inclusion in the gallery, please contact Pete with details. **The Strawbs photo gallery has been started.** There is an additional gallery page of my trip to Studio 2 at Abbey Road Studios in March 2013, with 3 fellow musicians. I put the photo's on as they may be of interest to somebody out there! It was a great day out and highly interesting. |

Pete believes in fair competitive prices, and charges are not based on time or hourly charges. You pay by the song. A solo singer singing to a backing track would cost 12.00 pounds per song and this would include recording, mixing, mastering and CD production with on CD printing and full colour CD artwork. A list of prices follows below (correct as from 01.01.17):
A basic recording by a solo singer or duo to a backing track 12.00 per song A basic recording by 3 or more singers to a backing track 17.00 per song A recording by a band of up to 3 persons using instruments 20.00 per song A recording by a band of 4 or more persons using instruments 25.00 per song Completed single CD album - basic with no double sided printing 2.35 per CD Completed single CD album - with double sided printing on CD artwork 2.60 per CD Completed double CD album - basic with no double sided printing 3.00 per CD Completed double CD album - with double sided printing on CD artwork 3.50 per CD You can record as many songs as you like with no time constraints. A Yamaha Motif Keyboard is on hand in the studio to be used as well as a number of electric & acoustic guitars and effects pedals. An 'Alesis Crimson' electronic drum set is permanently set up for use. High quality condenser & dynamic mics (including a Neumann large condenser mic) are used plus a seven mic drum set is available. Also available is a number of high quality backing tracks created in the studio by fellow musicians. The key of backing tracks can also be raised or lowered by a number of increments without normally causing any adverse effects. If you want a backing track to an unusual song, this could be created at a small cost. All prices are in GB Pounds and payment is required up front at the start of recording, unless other arrangements have been made before hand. For those living some distance away, there are plenty of bed & breakfasts, Inns & public houses in the immediate area for accommodation. Details can be given on request. All recordings are made in 24bit and kept in that domain until the final mastering down to 16bit for CD production.
